Get ready to beat old man Winter as we are now posting advance information on our big Hill Country Spring Drive since hotel space in Kerrville is at a premium in April. So, circle Thursday, April 9th-Sunday, April 12th on your calendars right now and follow the registration information below to reserve your room at the host hotel for the drive.
Our host hotel is the Inn of the Hills, 1001 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX 78028. To make your reservation, just call 800-292-5690 and tell them 2604ZSCCAZ in order to get our group rates. If you prefer, you can also check in online using the following link: https://innofthehills.ibe.stayntouch.com/ Just select your check in and check out dates...the number in your room, room select and then, be sure and put in the 2604ZSCCAZ code in both the Promo and Group Code blanks to get our group rates. Regular Kings rooms are at $129 plus tax; Cabana Kings are at $149 plus tax and Cabana Double Queens are also at $149 plus tax. The difference between the regular rooms and the limited Cabana rooms is that Cabana rooms are located near the pool/courtyard area and offer more space, a sleeper sofa, and a patio, whereas the regular rooms are standard hotel-style accommodations.
I would urge you to make your hotel reservation now as we only have a limited number of rooms available at our group rate right now and we always fill them. So, it is first come, first served. We will try and get additional rooms at the Inn when our group block is filled but if we cannot, we will recommend additional hotels.
For the drive itself, plan to come in on Thursday, April 9th, if you can, as we will set up registration from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Inn's conference room to hand out name tags and driver instruction sheets. Dinner that night will be on your own. Friday Morning, we will meet in the Inn's parking lot for our driver's meeting and take off on all day drive with a group stop for lunch and gas and then back on the road to finish up our day back at the hotel in time for a happy hour and our group dinner.
Saturday, we will again meet in the Inn's parking lot for our driver's meeting...head out for more twisty taming; our group lunch and gas stop; afternoon drive and then, back to the Inn in time for our farewell group dinner and drawings for some fun prizes to finish up the evening. Sunday, after checking out of the Inn, we will meet in the Inn's parking lot again for an optional morning drive and wrap up with a group lunch before heading back home again.
IMPORTANT...we know that some of you might not be able to come in on the Thursday for registration and that there are several options for you to participate. We have listed them below to get an idea of how many cars we will have on each drive and to also project our group meal counts. Please select the one that best fits your needs. We will assume that when you select an option that it will include your participation in the group meals for that day(s). If not, please make that known when you respond with the number of your selection.
(1) I plan to come in for registration on Thursday and drive on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Morning. (2) I plan to come in for registration on Thursday and drive on Friday and Saturday. (3) I plan to come in on Friday and drive on Saturday and Sunday Morning (4) I plan to come in on Friday and drive on Saturday.
