This year's Cumberland CruiZe will take us deep into Appalachia where we will drive the Dragon Slayer, Slingshot, Kohleburgring, and possibly others. We will also visit Portal 31, a former coal mine and the Kentucky Coal Mine Museum in Lynch, KY.  In addition, on the way to Wise we will stop at the Green Bank Radio Observatory for a tour of the museum and radio dishes, weather permitting. The next day we will visit the former Congressional bunker at Greenbriar Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

   The itinerary is as follows:

29 Jul 2026 - Meet point and time. Super Wal-mart, 501 Walmart Circle, Winchester, VA, 1000AM. We will proceed to Lewisburg, WV with a stop in Green Bank, overnighting at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Lewisburg, Another option is to meet us in Green Bank or Lewisburg. There is no block reservaions for the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Lewisburg.

30 Jul - We will tour the former Congressional bunker in the Greenbriar, after which we will drive to our host hotel in Wise, Virginia, attacking the Back of the Dragon along the way. The main event begins in Wise.

31 July and 1 August will be driving tand touring days.

2 August - Departure 

The Inn at Wise is our host hotel for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. I have reserved a block of rooms under the booking code, Cumberland Cruize.
