This will be a great weekend of Vintage BMW’s and some of the best driving back roads in America. The Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning drives will be spirited.
We will leave Charlotte at 7:30 am. We will convoy to The Vintage 2026, which is being held in Maggie Valley NC at the Festival Grounds. Admission is $10 at the gate.

We will leave The Vintage about 1pm and head west to connect with Rt 28 The Moonshiner. Rt 28 will take us to Fontana Dam and then into Deals Gap for a run up the Tail of the Dragon.
After the Tail of the Dragon, we will pick up Foothills Parkway and cruise into Alcoa TN. Our overnight hotel will be the Hampton Inn at 148 International Ave., Alcoa, TN, 37701.
The Hampton Inn has a block of rooms reserved for us (BMW Car Group). A rate of $107 will apply to a king or double queen room. The link below can be used to make your reservation. We will have a group dinner in the area after everyone is checked in and settled.
On Sunday we leave the hotel at 7:30 am and head to Tellico Springs to pick up Cherohala Skyway. We will take the full 43 miles of the Skyway and make our way to Wayah Road. Wayah Road is a little-known gem.
We will have a group lunch as we head east. After lunch we will make our way back to Charlotte.
