Congratulations, Zer....you are just about to sign up for one of the Rowdies most fun drives of the year out of our host Village in historic Salado, a great place that welcomes tourists and that is surrounded by some fun twisty backroads that we aim to tame!
Our host hotel for our event is the Holiday Inn Express, 1991 N. Stagecoach Rd. and we have blocked off 18 King rooms at $129.99 and two Double Queen rooms at the group rate of $139.99 plus tax. To reserve your room call 254-947-4004 and tell the receptionist that you are with the BMW Club. Our group rate will expire on 8-26-2025 at 11:59 pm. So, I would urge your to reserve your room now. You can always cancel your reservation or change it 14 days before our arrival date. Cancellations made after 6 p.m. on Friday, 9/12, 2005 will incur an automatic charge for the first night's stay. Watch for the reserved parking place that is hotel is providing for our Zs. The hotel is also providing a wet wash area for our Zs but you need to bring your own supplies.
Our first scheduled event will be our Friday night dinner at 6 p.m. at Provecho, 109 Royal Street there in Salado. In addition to a wide menu of Tex-Mex, Provecho has Margarita pitchers, frosty beer and mixed drinks. Watch for reserved parking here too. Our Routemaster, Josh Butts will give us the time for our driver's meeting on Saturday morning at the dinner.
Saturday morning after our driver's meeting out in the hotel parking lot, we're off and running for a fun day of twisty taming! Our lunch out on the road will be at the Pecan House Grill, 408 East Wallace Street, San Saba, Texas 76877. The Pecan House is providing a private room for us. So, identify. yourself as the BMW club.
After lunch, it is back on the road again winding our way back to the hotel. After some impromptu happy hours, we will meet again for dinner at Johnny’s Steaks & Bar-B-Que. 301 Thomas Arnold Rd. there in Salado. Johnny's will have group tables set up for us so again, identify yourself as the BMW club. This should be a great dinner as Johnny' s is well known in the area for his BBQ.
Sunday...it's time to check out and head back home after a great weekend of fun and fellowship with old and new Zer friends at our 3rd Annual Heart of Texas Z Roundup!
