Cra-Zs Take Over Diamondback – June 24 and 25
Ok, Queen City Cra-Zs you asked for this. This is the drive that most of you voted for. On June 24 and 25, we are going to drive the Diamondback and more. On Saturday June 24th, we will depart from Dunkin Donuts in Huntersville at 7:30 am.

By noonish, we will reach Little Switzerland for lunch. Along the way we will carve our way along Old NC 18, Rte. 226 downhill and Rte. 226A uphill to Little Switzerland.
After lunch and a cooldown (for your car and/or you), we will take off for an uphill run of Rte. 80 (The Devil’s Whip). And then a ramble south on the Blue Ridge Parkway to our overnight spot, the Fairfield Inn and a group dinner.

Sunday morning, we will head south on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a loop of Rte. 151. Then a bit further south on the parkway for a loop of Rtes. 276 and 215. After that, we will head for Lake Lure and lunch. After lunch, we will all head back home. Hopefully, with Big Grins!!
